Centralized Processing of all e-Forms by MCA Commences from Today

The Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) has announced that, starting from February 6, 2024, the Central Processing Centre (CPC) will undertake the processing and approval of e-forms submitted by companies. This marks a shift from the current practice where regional offices, including Regional Directors and Registrars of Companies, handle the processing of these forms.

The objective behind this change is to enhance the capacity of Regional Directors and Registrars of Companies to address enforcement-related matters efficiently. The CPC will now assume the responsibility of processing and approving e-forms, replacing the involvement of jurisdictional State Registrars in this process.

It’s important to note that the jurisdictional Registrars will retain authority over companies whose e-forms are processed by the CPC, specifically concerning all other provisions outlined in the Companies Act, 2013.
